All four of my lines of descent from the Spencers come down to the Hubbard family. Some connect sooner, some later. Notice how many times you see the same surnames. Haddam, CT was a sort of "Brigadoon" town, where the residents married within the town, like there was some kind of stricture against going anywhere else to seek a mate. Of course there wasn't, but many of us who have extensive Haddam surname lineages get that impression. Also, notice that the couple Thomas Shaylor/Katherine Clark pop up on two of the lineages (early on).
