The roots of our GREGORY family name can be traced back to the 16th
century, with origins in the village of Peckleton, Leicestershire. In
the early 19th century the family moved to Desford Leicestershire, and
by the late 19th century were in Leicester.
The GREET family origins have, to date, been traced to early 19th
century Leicester.
The earliest origins of our PILGRIM family have been found in 18th
century North Warwickshire. They were well established in and around
Hinckley for much of the 19th century, before eventually moving to
Leicester.
Our SCREATON origins have been traced to the early 15th century in the
South Nottinghamshire village of Willoughby on the Wolds. I am
particularly indebted to my cousin Paul Webber for the collation of
the detail of the Screaton family and to many others for their valued
contribution towards this project.
All of Helen's family roots are in Ireland. Many have been traced to
the early19th Century and we hope to progress further in the near
future. This web site gives an outline of Helen's Family tree. Helen's
fully up to date Family web site can be seen on 'The Foley, Hickey,
Kearney & McLoughlin Family Tree' on Ancestry.co.uk
