Can you help identify this picture?
This unidentified German soldier was found in among the pictures my
mother has. I have posted both the front and back of the picture so all the
information is shown. Our suspicion is that he is somehow related to my
great grandfather's family. My great grandfather's name was
Grisemer/Griesemer/Grismer/Grismeyer. With the town name being
Germersheim, Rheinpfalz, and knowing that many of the German surnames
were based on the town or village they came from, we came to that conclusion.

coloring is based on the assumption that this is the uniform of a "Bayrischer
Infanterist" - a Bavarian Infantryman. From the replies I have gotten so far this
seems to be a correct assumption. Christian has been extremely helpful. He is
