Robert F. Kearney, 83, of Randall Hill, Springfield, died Monday, September 7 at Cedar Hill Health Care Center in Windsor.

He was born August 2, 1915 in Hoosick Falls, NY, the son of Martin F. and Elizabeth (Fogerty) Kearney. He attended and graduated High School in the Hoosick Falls area. He was married to Doris Langeller May 29, 1938 in Potsdam, NY. She predeceased him March 12, 1993.

Mr. Kearney had resided in Springfield since 1942. He served in the Uninted States Marine Corp during WWII. He was employed for many years as a time study man at Jones 7 Lamson Machine Tool Company in Springfield, retiring in 1980.

He was a memeber of St. Joseph s Church of Chester. He was a member of Robert L. Johnson VFW Post 771 in Springfield, and Perkinsville Rod and Gun Club. Mr. Kearney was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by a son, Martin E. Bud Kearney of Walpole, Mass; a daughter Barbara K. Higgins of Springfield; a sister, Eleanor Lovett of Colonie, NY; three granddaughters; five great-grandchildren and several cousins.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, September 11 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph s Church in Chester. Rev. Paul Sackevich, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary s Cemetery in Springfield. Friends may call at Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield on Thursday, 7:00-9:00 p.m.
