THE GLYNN AND KELLY FAMILIES
FROM GALWAY TO ONTARIO
Patrick Glynn and Bridget Kelly came from Galway, Ireland to Ontario, Canada in the middle of the 19th century. We know little about Patrick's family in Ireland, but quite a bit about the Kelly family from Moylough Parish, Galway. Not unlike many others who emigrated, they hoped for better life in the "New World." We who are their descendants bless them for their lives and honor their memory.
The information contained herein is the result of the efforts of many persons - known and unknown. Every effort bears fruit - though sometimes it is not obvious. And sometimes. we must accept the reality that some information may never be available or known. We have gathered this from from cousins and friends. We relish the contact we have had with cousins we have/had never met. It is impossible to proceed without a grateful nod of the head to: Mary (Berrigan) MacKenzie (G granddaughter); Judith Keys (G granddaughter); Rick Woram (G grandson); Suzanne (Kelley) De Souza (G granddaughter) and Paul De Souza (GG grandson); Pat (Glynn) Hoppe (G granddaughter); Doreen (Glynn) Meischeid (G grandaughter) Mark Meischeid (GG grandson); Marianne Meischeid (GG granddaughter); Margaret (Glynn) Curry (G granddaughter); Michael Splotti (GG grandson); Gina Cote (GG granddaughter) ; Dr. Jim Moore (G grandnephew of Bridget). We are likewise indebted to Cynthia Roberts at Fairview Cemetery in Niagara Falls, Canada - and to the Office of the Archivist of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary (IBVM) in Toronto.
As always, we caution the reader that although care has been taken to insure that the information is accurate, errors may indeed appear. Also, "completeness" is a goal to be sought but rarely realized. If you have information or comment in any regard, we would welcome a note from you.
