More pictures below Alonzo Lamar CHAPMAN was born 17 Jan 1877 in Wayne Co., GA. The family records of Alonzo and Rozella state: "Alonzo Chapman, the son of J. F. Chapman and Eller chapman was borned January the 17, 1877." Alonzo married Rosella ARNETT, daughter of George Washington ARNETT and Nancy HOWE, on 29 Nov 1896 in Glynn Co., GA. Rosella was born 18 Sep 1883 in Brantley County, GA. Rosella's sister, Ida Gertrude Arnett, married Don Carlos Chapman, Alonzo's brother. Alonzo died 5 Nov 1954 in Glynn County, GA and Rozella died 2 Feb 1952 in Brantley County, GA. They are both buried in Arnett Chapman Cemetery, Glynn County GA on Old Post RD Near Thalman. Rosella and Alonzo had twelve children, six of which lived to become adults and have children.   M i Claude CHAPMAN was born 29 Aug 1897 and died 10 Oct 1897.   M ii Baby CHAPMAN was born 10 Jan 1899 and died 16 Jan 1899.   M iii Luther Eldon CHAPMAN was born 6 Feb 1900 in Wayne County, GA and died 8 Dec 1980. He died 8 Aug 1950 in Thalman, Glynn, Ga and was buried in Arnett Chapman Cemetery, Glynn County, Ga. They had four children.   M viii Wyburn Brunson CHAPMAN was born 14 Jan 1910. He died 30 Apr 1993 in Waycross, Ware, GA. Wyburn married Estelle (M. Clifford?) HIGHSMITH.   M ix Gordon Lee Brunson CHAPMAN was born 12 Mar 1912 in Brantley County, Ga. He died 12 Aug 1985 in Glynn County, GA and was buried in Chapman Arnett Cemetery, Glynn County Ga. Gordon married (1) Pearl Irene DANIELS. Pearl was born 7 Nov 1912. She died 13 Nov 1964 in Glynn Co., GA and was buried in Chapman Arnett Cemetery, Glynn County Ga. They had five children. Gordon also married (2) Irene HUTCHESON.   M xi Alonzo Lamar CHAPMAN Jr. was born 5 Jun 1920 and died 9 Mar 1923. His mother, Rozella, wrote him a poem upon his death. It will make you cry.   M xii Wilmer Dean CHAPMAN was born 12 Jun 1924. He died 3 Aug 1924.
