For this index (which continues to grow every day), I have listed the names alphabetically, last name first. In the case of married women, they are listed with the last name shown at time of death. Maiden names are listed in parentheses. If possible, I have also included the years of birth and death, along with the place of residence. Much of this information is included in the headers of the original postings, but where it was absent, I have included that information, as a finding aid for when there may be two individuals with the same or similar names.

I have found several unconnected or distinct Littlefield lines. I have also color coded these biographies and put a notation in brackets to say if the person listed is a descendant or close relative of these lines:

Undoubtedly, many of the Unknown lines will prove to be descendants of Edmund Littlefield of Maine (especially if the family lives in Maine or New England), but until the exact lineage is known, I will denote the line as Unknown.
