The WOHLFART surname is German, and the earliest ancestor in my branch of the family hails from near Bohlen, Schwarzburg, Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt, Thuringen (now Germany). It connects through my ROEMHILDT family which eventually settled in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
