Spring Cemetery, Houston County, Texas

Spring Cemetery, Harris County, Texas

This cemetery is located in far north Harris County in the city of Spring. It is located behind a Church of Christ. This cemetery was recently cleared by some honor students at the local North Harris County College. On our recent visit we saw that indeed a lot of work had been done. Except for a few markers in the trees and brush, the entire cemetery had been cleared of, what looked like, very heavy growth. However, the cleared brush is stacked in 8 foot piles in the corners and large logs cut into sections lay about the cemetery. There is only one road going into the cemetery and it is marked as private property with a gate. We only got to the grounds by cutting through the church parking lot and going through some trees. If you have descendants buried here, or have some local interest in the upkeep of this cemetery, I would be happy to coordinate a clean up day. The community should keep up the work these students began. Please email if interested.

Please note that the comments column contains my personal observations and things I thought would be helpful. Also, I recorded every marker, which means, one person may be recorded twice if they had two markers (i.e. a military marker in addition to their family marker). If you have any questions after viewing the list, please e-mail me at Letty Harrington.
