Access Bishops' Transcripts via the Internet by the following method: 1) Log on to http://www.familysearch.org 2) Click on SEARCH at the top of the main banner 3) In the next screen click on FAMILY HISTORY LIBRARY CATALOG and when it comes up, do a search under PLACE for the particular parish you want. 4) You will be presented with a screen full of information telling you what records the LDS has available for that parish. Click on CHURCH RECORDS - INDEXES 5) The next screen will say something like COMPUTER PRINTOUT of [parish] and probably give what period the records cover 5) Follow the links until you come to a screen with a box saying VIEW FILM NOTES. Click on this and you will see a list of records on film, with numbers. Make a careful note of the film numbers. 6) Go to your nearest Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints aka "Mormon" Family History Center (FHC) and order the films. The Family History Library Catalog is also available on CD-ROM at FHCs, so you may well be able to cut out the online search.
