Michael Whitmer, Peter Whitmer and Ulrich Whitmer, apparently
brothers, arrived in America 28th, 8th month, 1733 in a group of 84 Palatine
families (286 individuals), according to "Thirty Thousand Names of
Immigrants." They came from
Rotterdam, The Netherlands via Cowles on the ship "Hope" out of
London, Captain Dan Reid, master.

station agent at Lometa, Texas, according to Lampasas County, Texas Probate
Birth Books P3 and P5.
He was enumerated as the head of a household in the 1900 census

"Mrs. Alice I. Whitmire, widow of John Anderson
Whitmire," of Red River County received Confederate Pension No. 47536,
according to Texas pension records. He
served in Company C, Thirty-first Alabama Infantry Regiment.
