Hello, my name is Karen and I am from Grand Manan, a tiny island in the Bay of Fundy.

I have tried to capture the essence of my family by way of written history and photos.

It is my hope that the viewer will be able to find a missing relative among my ancestors.

Most if not all of my paternal family lines were from Scotland and  Germany and came to America during the late 1750's -1790's and  eventually made their way to a Grand Manan, a place I call "home".

Some of maternal ancestors were loyalists who traveled from Connecticut to Mispec where they engaged in fishing and farming.Others settled on the Kennebecasis River and farmed the lands.
