Bealie Jeffries was raised by Jefferson Blount,
Ollie "Ola," Elta and Ruth Harper are daughters of
Sarah Blount and Woodle Harper. Dixie is the daughter
of Woodle's second wife from her prior marriage.

Obituary of Jefferson Davis BLOUNT
published in The Reveille,
Camdenton, MO. March 16, 1934

Jefferson Davis BLOUNT was born in Osage County,
MO July 4, 1861. Died at his home near Zebra,
March 10, 1934. He was 72 years, 8 months and
6 days old. He was the son of A.A. and Delia Anne
Blount, pioneers of Camden County. He lived in Camden
County most all his life. His wife Sarah Blount
survives him with two children Ursula Brockman and
Claude Blount. There are six grandchildren and two
great grandchildren. He has three living sisters,
Lulu Ward, Drew Alexander and Mary Harper and one
brother Hiram.

He was a member of the Camdenton Christian Church.
His funeral was conducted by J.H.Jones, the pastor
at Camdenton, at Harper Chapel and burial in the
Harper cemetary nearby.

He had many acquaintances and friends, many of whom
attended the funeral.
A week before this obituary was published, there was
a notice in the same paper under "county news" that
Dr. Hoermann reports J.D. Blount as being very ill
