The Evening Gazette Word has been received in this city of the death of Jacob Crager , former Bellbrook resident who passed away at his home in Dayton, Wednesday night following a stroke of paralysis. Mr Crager who was about 70 years of age is survived by his wife and two daughters. Funeral arrangements have not been received.

2007Mt. Zion Church and the two cemeteries, Mt. Zion-Shoup (the older cemetery) and Mt. Zion-Park (the newer cemetery) are both in the corporation of the city of Beavercreek. The older cemetery is Shoup family owned and the newer is owned by the city of Beavercreek, which is run by their Parks Division. Both completely different cemeteries are bordered on the north by Indian Ripple Road. They are across Fairfield Road (a north-south road) from each other, with the church located on the same side with Mt. Zion-Shoup ("ou" pronounced as "ou" in loud) Cemetery. Mt. Zion-Shoup Cemetery was always owned by the Shoup family, and they have what records exist from what the families of those buried there told them. It appears that the records are lacking and gravestones are missing or were non-existant for many of those buried there even as late as 1940s. Death records may be the only clue to those buried in what was earlier just referred to as buried "Mt. Zion-Shoup" in those records. The newer Mt. Zion Park has great records.
