JOHN P.6 CREAGER, son of Christian William5 Creager (Casper4, Johann Christian3 Creager, Johann Casper2 Krieger/Creager, Hans Ernst1 Krieger) and Susan Dolan, was born about 1844 in Franklin, Warren County, Ohio. JOHN H. CREAGER, s/o David CREAGER born Franklin, Warren County, Ohio and Catherine WAGGONER born Pennsylvania, was born 7 Oct 1849 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio. John was a farmer in Jackson Township, Darke County, Ohio. He married Elizabeth [--?--], but was a widower at the time of his death on 30 March 1930 at the Darke County Home in Greenville, Greenville Township, Darke County, Ohio at 80y 5m 24d. It appears that John and his wife did not have issue, and that she was deceased at his time of death. John died of myocarditis and nephritis (Darke Co., OH Death Certificate). The death certificate indicates he was living at the Darke County Home in Greenville, Greenville Twp., Darke Co., OH at time of death, but that he was a resident of Jackson Township in Darke County, Ohio. The superintendent of the County Home supplied the information for the death certificate. He was buried 2 April 1930 at the Teegarden Cemetery in Darke County, Ohio.
[NOTE: Paul Creager indicates that at the present no information is found "in either the old or new Teegarden Cemetery" concerning John's burial there. Paul did not find him in the Union City Cemetery, Darke Co., OH either, where only his brother, George Washington, George's wife, and George's daughter are recorded as buried. If John was buried in an unmarked grave in the Teegarden Cemetery, one would expect to find at least a record of his burial. ASH]
