NELSON6 CREAGER, s/o Emanuel5 CREAGER & Mary Jane SWADENER, was likely born 16 October 1845 in Adams Twp., Darke County, Ohio, as his parents had purchased eighty (80) acres of land there after 1840. The 1850 U. S. Federal Census of Darke County, Ohio shows his parents and his six siblings living on the farm. Nelson married 28 October 1873 Montgomery County, Ohio to Amanda KREITZER, dau/o William Kreitzer and Barbara Apple of Jackson Township, Montgomery County, Ohio. Nelson and Amanda also lived in Jackson Township, Montgomery County, Ohio. Nelson died 18 February 1920 Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio. According to Nelson's death certificate, he was buried at Hulps (sic...Holps) Cemetery (aka Slifer's Cemetery). Amanda Creager reached the age of ninety-four, dying 1 November 1951. She was buried beside her husband. Nelson's and Amanda's family Bible is in the care and custody of their grandson, the Rev. Harold R. Shank.
