    [Note: William was killed 1865 at Fair Oaks, VA (perhaps injured, captured, and then died) His widow and daughter Mary Elizabeth Laboyteaux later moved to Schuykill County, PA where Mary Elizabeth married William B. Hall in 1880. Sarah remarried, and thus lost entitlement to her pension, although Mary Elizabeth was still eligible. Sarah was separated from her 2nd second husband many years, but finally divorced him.

  • George Brooks La Boyteaux, Co. A, 1st North Carolina Guards (State Unit)
    Unit fought at Roanoke Island, was captured, paroled and later exchanged. After exchange, many of the men joined or were reorganized into other units and fought through the rest of the war. It is unknown at this time if George rejoined or not.
