ARRANGEMENT of DATA

HARRIETT LABOYTEAUX, illegitimate dau/o Joseph W. WALKER & Pearl Violet LABOYTEAUX, was born 06 June 1903 Henry County, Indiana. This is confirmed via the court record of Walker vs. Laboyteaux. Harriett and her mother, Pearl, resided with Pearl's parents in 1910 in Liberty Township, Henry County, Indiana. However, before Harriet could reach adulthood her life was taken away. Harriett died in 1914 in Henry County, Indiana. Harriett is buried next to her maternal grandparents, James LABOYTEAUX (d 1921) and Margaret "Maggie" (ALGER) LABOYTEAUX (d 1932). James, Margaret, & Pearl appear in the 1920 Census without Harriett, so her death is apparent. On 27 December 1920 in Henry County, Indiana, Pearl married David R./B. FADELY.

She was probably the same Harriett who is given in the Death Records of Henry County, Indiana: " [Name] Laboyteaux, Harriet Louise, [Race] white, [Sex] female, [Age] 10y, [Death] 21 Jan. 1914, [Book] CSS; [Bk] 5; [Page] 63."

HARRIETT LABOYTEAUX of unknown parents who resided in Henry County, Indiana.

Harriett Laboyteaux's Birthday Party
Harriett is unidentified in the picture. She could be the girl standing in front and center or back and center with the big bow, or perhaps she is the girl holding the baby on the end. It is believed that the photo was taken somewhere in Henry County, Indiana between 1912 and 1914. The photo was in Richard's Grandmother Ruth's collection. (Richard Rinehart)
Could Harriett have been the Harriett Laboyteaux, whose gravestone is pictured above? She is the only known Harriett of this time period and age who is known to have resided in Henry County, Indiana...or perhaps the gravestone is of another Harriett. Can anyone identify Harriett? It is believed that other Laboyteaux descendants were probably in attendance and in the photo. Those identified are Ruth Wisehart, her sisters (Edith and Mary) and their first cousin, Fern Wisehart--all grandchildren of Alice (LaBoyteaux) Wisehart.
