MARY MAGDALENA ELIZABETH5 LEHMANN, was the eldest of the children of Martin Michael Lehmann and Katharina/Katharine/Catherine REICHERT. She was born March or August 1850 in McLean Township, Shelby County, Ohio just outside of Berlin1 (aka Village of Loramies, Loramie, and finally Ft. Loramie).

In this 1850 United States Federal Census we find Mary listed as "Maria Lahman" and indicated as born in France which is incorrect. She and her parents, Martin and Katharina were residing with her paternal grandparents, Michel/Michael Lehmann and Marie Madeleine/Mary Magdelena Biam; and her paternal uncle, Joseph Christian Lehmann. Also, residing with the family were members of the SCHABEL/SCHEBEL/SCHABLE/SCHEBLE/etc. family who according to an oral Lehmann family story were orphaned and thus came to live with the Lehmanns. Typhoid fever and cholera were prevalent in Berlin (later Ft. Loramie) in this time period, which was the cause of death for many of its inhabitants.

At the time of the 1860 United States Federal Census we find the Martin Lehmann family recorded as LAMON. Daughter Maria is listed now as Mary and she has been joined by three younger siblings. Also, still residing with the family is John Schebel (sic) Her grandparents, Michel/Michael and Marie Madeleine/Mary Magdelena, moved to Dayton sometime after 1850 to reside with their daughters. Here they died in 1853 and 1859 respectively.

Mary was not been found enumerated at the time of the 1870 United States Federal Census. Her whereabouts are unknown.

On 14 April 1871, Maria Magdelena Elizabeth Lehmann probably married at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Berlin (later Ft. Loramie) to J. FRANCIS "FRANK" MOELLER, son of unknown MOELLER3 parents. He was born in March of 1849 in Ohio, and in the earlier years worked as a blacksmith.

It appears that during this time period, J. Francis Moeller went into business with his father-in-law, Martin Michael Lehmann, in what became known as The Lehman (sic) and Moller (sic) Tile Yard in Ft. Loramie, Ohio.4

By 1880 Census, Frank and Mary were the parents of three young children, 2 daughters (Elizabeth and Catharina) and a son (Joseph). In 1900 the couple have two more children (Martin and Nora) to their family.
