  • FATOOT [sic...?FAITOUT], Aaron
    Aaron FAITOUT may have been the Aaron who was a ward of Henry Brown...late 18th century. Henry held land between the east branch of the Elizabeth River and Stuyvesant Avenue, in Union, perhaps into Irvington (known previously as Elizabeth & Newark). Henry inherited the land from his father, Stephen Brown (1680-1767). Stephen was s/o Joseph Brown. Henry m Rachel Clark, dau/o Jotham Clark. Henry's daughter, Mary, married Jotham Faitout. Relationship between Aaron and Jotham is unknown.(9)

  • FRENTZ Family
    In 1880 this family lived in Fanwood, Union Township, NJ. The father was Augustus Frentz (42, house carpenter); Emma (37, wife); Children: Henrietta (15), Charles (13), Ida (11), Ludwick (aka Louis 9), Henry (7), Ella (5), Jenny (2), & George (3/12). In 1900, Augustus (62), Emma (54), Jennie (21), Bertha (17), & Augustus (13). By 1910 Augustus was a 72y old widower. In 1920 Augustus, widower, was 81y old and boarding with another family. Leslie Davis Guccione wrote, "I grew up hearing tales of Grandpa Frentz, Henrietta�s father, who had a long beard and was a renowned carpenter/builder in Scotch Plains. I have a doll chest and bed he made for my mother Winnie. We have his full set of trim planes and other tools." Gravestone photos coming soon from another family researcher: Priscilla Hazell Blake. Priscilla indicated, "It has been told to me that my great grandfather built the church, which I am trying to verify, and that he was given the many plots as payment. That is why so many of my family is buried there. As far as I can tell the family did not go to church there. That is why some of the wives are there and the husbands not. My parents, grandparents, great grandparents, sister and aunts are there."
