    PLAINFIELD, May 26. -- The Rev. William Shott, pastor of the Scotch Plains Baptist Church, said to-day that he will continue the crusade he has started against vice in that place. "Here we are with five licensed drinking places," he said, "and yet possess a population of out 200 or 300 people. That is a worse condition than you will find on the Bowery in New York.

    States "David Sutton was received into the Kingwood Baptist Church, Baptistown, Hunterdon County, New Jersey of May 7, 1764 by a letter of dismission from Scotch Plains. He was identified as a Minister of the Gospel. On June 8, 1765, his wife Anne was taken into the church. On August 9, 1783, David and Anne were dismissed with letter from the church, probably for Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. (Town Records of Hopewell, NJ)"
