LEDA REA7 SHIELDS, affectionately known as Rea, was the sixth child and third daughter of Raymond Dale6 Shields and Sarah Margaret Creager. She was born 19 July 1926 in Piqua, Miami County, Ohio. She married 31 July 1948 in Piqua, Miami County, Ohio to Frederick Dale "Mac" McKinley.

From this union was born Gary McKinley, and the marriage soon ended in divorce. Rea then married on 17 September 1955 in Richmond, Wayne Co., IN to William Joseph Schlosser, Jr. To this union was born William "Bill" Michael Schlosser.
Rea was a very creative person making artsy and crafty items for bazaars and gifts. She was interested in her family history and shared many photos with this writer. She loved her family and delighted in visiting her siblings. Since she was the youngest, she spent many days as she got older caring for and caring about her older sisters, just as she did for many others. She was always joyous and happy.
Rea and Bill loved to camp. They spent many weekends and holidays at their campground site in Coldwater.
Rea lost her fight to live to melanoma cancer on 18 November 2002. She was buried on 24 November 2001 at Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua, Miami County, Ohio. She is sadly missed by those of us who knew her.
