GEORGE OLIVER SHIELDS, s/o James SHIELDS and Christiana Magdalene COOK, was born 1823 Preble County, Ohio; married 21 February 1852 in Preble County, Ohio to Mary FLOYD. They were married by Patrick McGREW. George died 15 June 1855 in probably Preble County, Ohio at 31 years of age. He is buried at the Dry Fork Baptist Church Cemetery in Preble County, Ohio. Nothing more is known of Mary FLOYD.
