LEROY CREAGER7 SHIELDS, eldest son and eldest child of Raymond Dale6 (Caleb5, Patrick4, Isaac M.3, Patrick2, Daniel1) Shields and Sarah Margaret Creager, was born at the family home on 20 February 1905 at Darke County, Ohio. On 9 February 1929, he married Ida Belle Beihl, dau/o William Preston Beihl and Catherine "Kitty" Duffy. Leroy (also known as Roy) died 18 April 1987 at Miami County, Ohio and was buried at Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua, Miami County, Ohio. Ida died 7 September 2002 at the age of 98 years and was buried next to her husband.

Leroy Creager Shields
LESTER LEDREW7 SHIELDS (Sr.), son of Crawford Ellis6 (Benjamin Franklin5, Patrick4, Isaac M.3, Patrick2, Daniel1) SHIELDS and Libbie Viola RENCH, was born 13 May 1904 in Darke County, Ohio; married 12 February 1927 in Newport, Kentucky to Dovie Belle SHAHAN; and died February 3, 1979 in Greenville, Darke County, Ohio. Dovie, daughter of David SHAHAN and Martha ANNON, was born 18 June 1905 in Hovatter, Tucker County, West Virginia, and died August 17, 1984 in Greenville, Darke County, Ohio. Both are buried at Abbottsville Cemetery, Van Buren Twp., Darke County, Ohio. They were the parents of four children.
