CLARA TECKLENBURG, daughter of Henry TECKLENBURG and Katharine/Catherine LEHMANN, was born 17 December 1883 in Berlin (later Village of Loramies, then Loramie, then Ft. Loramie) in Shelby County, Ohio.

There is no 1890 United States Federal Census. It was probable that Clara resided with her parents in the family area of the Tecklenburg Hotel until her marriage. It is likely that during his growing years she worked along side her parents.

Clara Tecklenburg married 28 October 1903 in probably St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church at Ft. Loramie, Shelby County, Ohio to AUGUST "GUS" DIETRICH KUCK, (aka August "Gus" COOK), son of unknown parents. Her brother, John Tecklenburg, stood up with August and John's future wife, Mary Victoria Mougey, stood up with Clara.
