GERHARD TECKLENBURG

Henry TECKLENBURG and Katharine/Catherine LEHMANN

(gs/o Martin Michael Lehmann b Schirrhein, Alsace, Bas-Rhin, France/Germany & Katharina Reichert b Nussloch, Baden, Germany)

and

CATHERINE M. LAMMERS

daughter of unknown parents


GERHARD TECKLENBERG was son of Henry TECKLENBERG and Catherine/Katharine LEHMANN. Gerhard was born 20 June 1881 in Berlin (aka Village of Loramies, then Loramie, and finally Ft. Loramie), Shelby County, Ohio. As a youngster and young adult, hee was reared in the homes of his parents with two brothers and a sister.

In 1890 his parents purchased the Vondrele House/Hotel which became the Tecklenburg House/Hotel. It is assumed that along with his parents and siblings that he worked during his growing years in the hotel, livery, and ice house associated with the business until and perhaps after marriage.
