12. Edward Wild GREEN2,3,6 was born on 8 Nov 1871 in Powellsville, Scioto County, Ohio. After the age of 8 Edward moved with his parents William and Louisa Green to Florence, Nebraska. There he met and married in 1896 to Myrtle Louisa Thomas. in 1898 he moved with his wife and twins to Oklahoma. In the fall of 1907 he came to Beaver County and filed on a claim. In March 1908 he moved the family by covered wagon from Goltry, Oklahoma to establish a home of their
own and in hopes the twins Iva's and Arthur's health would improve. Mr. Green began at once to lay up a part sod dugout, which was one and one-half miles south and one mile west of the old Couch Post Office. The Anthony school house and recreation center are still located on this section. (Moved to Gate) They used the over jets of the wagons for sleeping quarters and their kitchen was a little sod room owned by Mrs. Greens cousin, Bill Milton. Mr. Milton later sold out to Frank Sherman. They were ten days on the road ! from Goltry. They led 2 cows, so it was slow progress. Mr. Green was a farmer and also tended separator for Mr. Bart Holland's threshing machine. One year his coat sleeve caught in the machine belt, breaking his arm. He died on 6 May 1947 in Beaver County Hospital, Beaver, Beaver County, Oklahoma. He was buried in Beaver Cemetery, Beaver Co., OK. He was married to Myrtle Louisa Rebecca Ann THOMAS (daughter of Lewis THOMAS and Susan Suzanne MOORE) on 15 Sep 1896 in Florence, Nebraska.
