The Will of John Green Town of Preston 1792 no. 4641 In the name of God Amen I John Green of Preston in the County of N(orwich) _____a bring into ( I can't read the rest of the sentence) my own mortality and being far advanced in Life but of sound and disposin g mind and memory. _____ the God for the _____ on this tenth day of July Anno Domininca 1790 --- make and publish this my last will and testament. Impu____. I give my love to God who gave it me and my body to this earth to be buried in a decent (_____ manner)and as for that worldly estate which it has pleased God to bless m e with. I dispose, thereof in the following manner after my last debt and _____ are paid. I give to my oldest son John Green my Duroy B_____ pat. Item--- I give to the heirs of my son William Green deceased the sum of t wenty shillings to be equally divided between them. To be paid by my executor to be therafter named Item--- I give to my son Winter Green one silver dollar to be paid by my executor. Item--- I give to my son Christopher Green a note of hand I have against him for the sum of about three pounds on interest Item--- I give to my son David Green my lot of land in ___ Meadow contain ing about thirteen acres be the same more or less being the whole lot which I bought of Capt. Jeremiah Clark dece ased. Item--- I give to my daughter Mary Olin the wife of Phillip Olin, a silk Crape Gown which was her mothers Item--- I give to the heirs of my daughter Betty Bennet deceased, thirty shillings lawful money to be paid by my executor which is to be equally divided between them Item--- I give to my grandson Charles Green the son of my son Winter Gree n all my wareing apparel. Excepting my best coat which I have given to my son John. Item--- I give to my daughter Amie Green for her kindness and extraordina ry attention to me. All the remander of my personal estate which I have not given away. Except my farming tools and Carp enter tools. I also give her my W___ lot of land which I purchased of Nathan Herrick lying on Stone Hill. Item--- I give to my great grandaughter L_____ _____ my second best feath er bed provided she live to be eighteen years old or or should marry. If she should not live to be eighteen years old or should marry under that age thenit is my wish that my daughter Amie should have the bed. Item--- I give to my son David Green all my farming tools and my carpente r tools. ____ and I do make and ordain and appoint my siad son David Green my executor to this my last will and testame nt. Enjoining on him to see the same performed in every part according to my true Intent and meaning--- Rattifying and Confirmed this and this only to be my last will and testament.
