Page 297 July 30, 1847 Be it remembered that on this 10 day of August, 1847 personally appeared before me, in my office, John H. Bowen, the Executor named in the last Wi ll and Testament of Thomas Green, deceased late of Said County, and produ ced said will for probate which was duly proven by the Oath of George T. Grinstead one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, and admitted to reco rd as follows, to wit: "In the name of God, Amen, I Thomas Green of the County of Jefferson and State of Indiana being weak in body, but of a so und and disposing mind thank be to God do make and ordain this instrumen t of writing to be my Last Will And Testament in manner and form as foll ows, to wit, Imprimus. I give to my son George Green the sum of one hun dred dollars, I give to my son Thomas Green the sum of ten dollars , I gi ve to my son Abraham Green ten dollars, I give to my Grandson Thomas Gree n the son of Abraham Green the sum of one hundred dollars, I give to my d aughter Rachel Woodfill one hundred dollars, I give to my son Peter Gre en ten dollars, I give to my son James Green one hundred dollars, I give to my grandson John Keler one hundred dollars, I give to my daughter Sara h Mowrey one hundred dollars, I give to my son Abner ten dollars, I give to my son John Green the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars, I give to my daughter Margaret Green the land I now live on being and living in th e Eleventh Section, town four North of Range 10. East in Jefferson County as follows, Vi3, beginning at the N.E. Corner of the S. E. quarter of th e afore said Section, thence North Eighty Six West with the North Line of the quarter one hundred and fifty eight poles and ten links to the Nor th West Corner thereof, thence South with the West line of the quarter fi fty four poles and nine link to a Stone, thence North Eighty Five and one half East one hundred and fifty eight poles and ten links to a Stone on the East Line of the quarter fifty five poles and thirteen links to the place <><><><><><><><><><><><><> In Vocation Continued 298 of Beginning containing fifty four acres and Sixty two and a half parcels _I give the above described Land to my daughter Margaret Green to her and her heirs forever, I give to my daughter for and in consideration of her living with and taking care of me in my old age my household goods of ev ery description and all my live stock, horses, cattle, hogs and all my fa rming implements and money and everything else that may be left after pay ing all my just debts and funeral expenses and the above named Legacies, I Nominate and appoint John H. Bowen to be Executor of this my last will and testament In witness whereof, have hereunto set my hand and seal this 29th day of August 1839. Grinstead, who being duly sworn on his oath Saith he sa w the said Thomas Green sign and seal the written and foregoing paper as his will and that he with John H. Bowen and Ann Bowen subscribed the same as Witnesses in the presence of each other and in the presence and at th e request of said Thomas Green was at the time of making and living said paper as his will of full age to devise his property and of sound mind an d memory, and not under coercion and restraint and that he did publish an d declare the same to be his will, and further saith not.
