Hello Greg,
I have known you for some time now your Website on the US Veterinary corps in WWI with some nice specimen of patches and great pictures.
A few months ago I got 7 real photo postcards showing US servicemen and horses. One of these cards is the one that illustrates your paragraph on FRS No. 306. One of the seven shots is a better view of the 4 men riding their horses. Another one shows an inspection of the horses by some commissioned officers.
By the way these real photo postcards have been taken in Germany and not in Saint-Nazaire. The buildings on the card you posted on your Website are typical German building. The name and address of the German photographer are stamped on the backs of 5 of my cards.
My name is Michel. I am French but live in Brussels, Belgium. I have lived a little bit more than eleven years in Chicago. My in-laws live in the Midwest and on the East Coast. I have been collecting US Army WWI stuff for 26 years; mainly photograph but also uniforms and patches.
I may have a couple of other pictures showing US veterinary personnel in France. I also have a picture of the Remount Depot in Montiers-sur-Saulx (Meuse) but I am not sure you are interested in remount depots.
