TRICONVILLE, FRANCE (MEUSE 55) WW1

I would like to thank Willy Perrier and his son for providing the pictures of TRICONVILLE in France (Meuse 55) Willy lives in VERDUN, France and is very interested in the History of WW1. Willy is originally from the village call TRICONVILLE, France (Meuse 55).

I would like to thank Willy Perrier and his son for providing the pictures of TRINCONVILLE in France (Meuse 55) Willy lives in VERDUN, France and is very interested in the History of WW1. I am hoping in the future Willie will be adding more research to the website. For a long time I have been hoping for someone in France to do a little investigating for us, Willy adds a very unique perspective and I can't thank him and his son enough for their help.

Willy is originally from the village call TRICONVILLE in France (Meuse 55). About ten years ago he found in the attic of his Grandmother's, two American helmets. One of the First World War and one of the Second World War as well as some coins. The Americans soldiers thus spent twice and were accommodated at my grandmother's house, in 1917-18 and in 1944-45.

Willy told me that some of the people from the village still remembered that the American Veterinary Corps was stationed here during WW1 and they remembered there being between 2,000 and 3,000 horses and mules here. The village has not change very much in all that time. The remains of the Horse and mule dipping tank was still installed in the ground until last year when the farmers decided it was time for it to go.

Willy also remembers when he was young playing near a place were there were many bones of horses. I know why now, and I think that it was the cemetery for the horses and mules.
