What we know:

John and Mary Jane are living in Taney Co. in 1880, next to his brother James "Newt", who'd apparently moved up to MO to help the family on the farm. Newt and oldest brother, "Son", were both left in AL when their mother, Eliza Jane, moved to Taney with her second husband, Leander DEAN.
I'm not sure about daughter Margaret's name. She is called Ada in both her marriage record and on the SSDI. Some have thought it is 2 daughters' names. Ada married her "stepmother's" brother--her uncle by her father's second marriage. (More on the GILL/McHUGH mess) Her legal name at death was Ada McHUGH.
The notes about who married whom originated from Ines BLANSIT HARRIS, the daughter of Chester and Mable.
Willie and Edith BLANSIT CAPEHEART lived in Goodnight Holler, between Bluff and Walnut Shade (by road). After Edith's death, Willie lived alone until the middle 1990s, when he went to live with his daughter in AR. Greg says that when he visited as a child in the 1960s/70s, they had no running water nor indoor plumbing. He doesn't think they had electricity, either, but he's not sure. He said they didn't have a phone; the family insisted Uncle Willie get one after Edith's death, when he was living by himself. Greg remembers Uncle Willie being astounded that his daughter sounded like she was "right here" when the phone would ring.
