What we know:

Lots of mysteries here. For one thing, Maggie's surname when she married Joe was McHugh. But her descendants all call her Gill. Her mother was buried as a McHugh, and her sister and brother also both married with the surname McHugh (although Tom's was misspelled "McAugh" in the transcription to the marriage records of Taney Co.)
Ines Blansit Harris' notes claimed Maggie's father was Edgar Gill. I can't find a record of him anywhere. Her mother isn't cited in any Taney Co. census records; the story is that she lived in Kansas City, but Helena is buried in Meadows Cemetery.
