Grossart and Grossarth Genealogy Research

Welcome to the Grossart / Grossarth Genealogy Research page.   We are currently under construction……and will be under constant re-construction, if we are successful.   Our purpose is to collect and distribute research data on the Grossart / Grossarth genealogy, and our goal is to eventually link all the known………and yet unknown ……lines of this family.      Spellings on church records, emigration and immigration records, census, etc. varied somewhat, depending on the ear of the writer.   Some variations include Grossart, Grossarth, Großart, Grozarth…….and others.

We have lines from

To begin with, we have listed bare outlines of the limbs of Grossart / Grossarth families which we have uncovered so far.  Some of these lines also list an active researcher on that line. We will be publishing extra data collected from various records both in this country and elsewhere, which does not fit our lines at this time, but may someday.   These may be the pieces that will eventually prove to be the links.

We invite you to ask questions, and most certainly to post your information, no matter how insignificant you may think it is.    Someday all of these small pieces will come together to form the complete picture puzzle of the Grossart / Grossarth Family.

There is a Grossart Mailing List supported by Rootsweb, for the purpose to share information and research.    To subscribe send the word "subscribe" (without the quotes) as the only text in the body of a message to [email protected] (mail mode).

For more information and to work in research contact the person listed at the end of the family.   For any corrections of the data of the families below, contact Karen.
