The Descendants of
George Washington HARRISON

In my research of George Washington Harrison, I have found two possible fathers for him. One is Dr. Jessee Harrison of South Carolina and the other Ezekial Harrison and Sarah Bryan. Most people believe that Ezekial Harrison is his father. If this is so, his great-great grandmother, Abigail Smith was also President Abraham Lincoln's great-great grandmother. We do know that George Washington Harrison fought in the War of 1812 under Andrew Jackson and settled in Mississippi after the war. He met Elizabeth Willingham in Perry County, Mississippi. I'm not sure if they married in Perry County or in New Orleans, Louisiana. They moved Cherokee County, Texas and then settled in Freestone County, Texas where he began a church, Harrison Chapel. Any new information about George Washington Harrison and his ancestors or descendants would be greatly appreciated.
