The Descendants of David Paulsell & Elizabeth Delaney
As this is a work in progress, any new information is always welcome.
The Paulsell family migrated from Greene Co, North Carolina (it was later Greene Co, Tennessee) to Missouri in 1837/1838. David's son, John, died enroute to their new home and is buried somewhere in Illinois. The Paulsell family became leaders of their community with several of the men serving as judges and businessmen. They also had the pioneering spirit with one branch of the family settling in Arizona and California when those states were being formed and another became an Oklahoma Sooner pioneer. They are known within the family for their fierce love of family and fiery temperament and their sense of honor and duty.
My eternal thanks to Charles R. McCain for his tireless efforts in tracking down the Paulsells and their descendants, Judy Goff Cook for her help in finding records and all the other Paulsell descendants who have contacted me and shared their Paulsell information. This is definitely a group effort.
