These pages track the history of the Gurr family from (currently) my great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather John Gur, probably born somewhere in the Medway area of Kent around 1675.
Rather than driving as deep as possible into the past to build a long pedigree I've attempted to discover as much as possible about the lives of my ancestors in each generation before taking a step further back into the past.
As a result, you'll find more than just a family tree. I will be attempting to flesh out my ancestors lives with background historical information, pictures of locations, and whatever else I can lay my hands on to make them three-dimensional rather than mere ghosts.
