The Canso Breeze (and Guysborough County Advocate)
was a weekly newspaper that served Guysborough County, for many years.

Following are excerpts from random issues of "The Breeze"
and include the columns that pertained to the communities,
which were written by volunteers from each place,
who wrote under "pen-names".

There are a few columns from communities in Antigonish and Pictou counties as well.

I have not corrected the spelling, although tempted to do so, when I knew there were obvious mistakes.

I obtained these copies from microfilms at NSARM
(formerly Public Archives of N.S.)
and portions of the pages are cut off or not legible,
due to the poor quality of the printouts.

LOCAL NEWS OF THE BREEZE CONSTITUENCEY
These columns are open for local news and personals from all places in Guysboro County. Any reader, interesed in seeing his or her home town or village represented many send in legitimate news notes for publication. The writer's name must accompany the notes -- it will be held in confidence and not published.
