1902 -  An Incomplete Span

August 30, 1902 Cassville Democrat, Barry Co., MO

E. W. Bishop returned to Kansas City, Wednesday evening, after a pleasant outing with W. J. Martin and son Chas. C. Martin on White River.

M. T. Abernathy returned Sunday morning from a trip to Texas he said his brother Milt was enjoining in good health.

Fred, son of Mrs. Lotta Hamilton has been very sick with the fever. When the fever broke he was attacked by spinal meningitis, that almost paralysis his entire nervous system. His recovery is given up. His father John Hamilton, of Sharp Co., AR, has been telegrammed.

Solomon Brown's remains were removed from the county farm cemetery last week to the Cassville Cemetery.

R. G. Mitchell and his son Evard came home Saturday night from the Indian T'y.

Isaac Lee has moved back to Cassville.

Rev. Ewing McCracken will commence a series of meetings at Berryville, Ark., tomorrow.

Rev. Cocharan of the Christian Church filed his regular appointment at the union Church Sunday.

Mayflower News Items: R. C. Bone has made a big trade or two. He is dealing in cheap ponies and harness.

Mayflower News Items: Mr. Hendricks has returned from Arkansas where he went to look after his cattle.

The Rocky Comfort Guide records the growth of a radish in that vicinity that weighted 17 lbs.

Joel Montgomery of Jacksonville, Texas, has located at Rocky Comfort, remarks the Guide.

Charles Muncey of near Eagle Rock, was here Monday, and told us Lewis Smith, living near Eagle Rock, was kicked in the mouth, Saturday, by a horse, breaking one tooth, loosening another and cutting his lips badly.

J. W. Shepard made his final move to his old home at Jenkins, Tuesday. Mr. Sheppard and family made many friends during their residence in this place and they regret their departure.

Rufus Sooter left for Texas Tuesday morning.
