Seligman News: John Birkes has come back to Seligman to live. His family live in the cottage on the corner east of the M. & N. A. bridge.

Seligman News: Geo. Finn has been summoned on the petit jury in the Federal Court at Joplin, begins the 5th.

Fields News: We are sorry to write of the death of our friend and neighbor, Mrs. Barleth, a German lady, who died Christmas eve was buried in the Fields Cemetery. She was stricken with paralysis about eight months ago. It is thought she had the third stroke. She will be greatly missed in this part.

Pioneer News: William Shannon died Dec 24th and was buried at Muncie Chapel Dec 26th. He leaves a wife and one brother.

Pioneer News: Emery Stocksill and wife who have been visiting with her parents, F. M. Brown and wife, left last week for them home in Montana.

Shady Grove News: We are sorry to hear of the death of Tom Mizer of Purdy.

Lone Elm News: Mrs. Sarah Irby died at her home near Leann Saturday. She leaves many friends to mourn her death.

Jenkins News: Miss Sarah Irby died Friday night and was buried Sunday at King Cemetery. Funeral Sunday at King cemetery. Funeral was preached by Rev. Burkhart.

Forest Grove News: We are sorry to learn of the serious sickness of Mrs. H. Beeson of Rock House.

New Site News: A. E. Banks attended the funeral of Mrs. A. T. Largen of Monett Sunday.

New Site News: H. O. Abernathy sold his farm to John Gripka and has purchased a farm one-half mile northeast of Cassville. He also bought a house and lot in Cassville where he and family will reside during his term of office as collector. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Northcutt will reside on the farm. [Research Note: Harrison was married to Elizabeth Dora Haddock, Dec 4, 1898, Barry Co., daughter of Joseph F. and Mary Josephine (Berry) Haddock.]

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Laidlaw, near McDowell, Jan 1, a daughter.

Milt Abernathy is back from a visit in Tennessee and at his old stand making harness.

Eagle Rock News: Sime Perse has returned home after a short visit with C. A. Munsey's folks at Dawson, Oklahoma.

Milwaukee News: Mrs. Walter Vanzandt is on the sick list, thought to be the grip. [Van Zandt]

The little three year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Smith of Mineral Springs died Tuesday.

Exeter News: Miss Florence Warf and Elmer Smedley were married Sunday at the home of the brides' parents, Rev. Yarbrough officiating. Mr. Smedley is an express messenger. Success to them.

Washburn News: Mrs. J. A. Pease returned a few days ago from a month's visit with her daughter, Mrs. E. Lund and other relatives in Cedar, Kansas. [Research Note: This was Minnie and Ernest Lund and Janetta "Nettie" had several relatives living there including her step-mother, Mary. Her father died in 1892 and was buried there, but Mary, didn't die until 1928. Janetta's mother died when she was about two months old and was buried, May 7, 1861 in Clayton Cemetery, Dallas Co., IA. ]

Washburn News: Mrs. Hattie Browning returned to her home Saturday in Oklahoma after a few months visit with her sister, Mrs. Frank Winds and other relatives. She lives with her son, Charlie formerly of Washburn. 

Lone Elm News: Abe and Nick Eubanks were called to see their mother who is seriously ill with pneumonia.

Lone Elm News: Rube Johnston from Oklahoma was visiting his sister, Mrs. Mary Thomas. Rube is talking of moving to Missouri.

Lone Elm News: Born to Rev. and Mrs. Will Burch, the 12th, a girl.

The case against W. J. Lance of Pineville for attempting to obtain money through fraud came up in the Federal Court at Joplin, Monday. [Click here to read]

Purdy News: E. M. Birks of St. Joseph, arrived Thursday for a visit with his sister, Mrs. D. L. Baylor.

Mineral Springs News: Arthur Smith's baby has diphtheria. Their little girl died of the same disease last week. 

Mineral Springs News: Caswell Barnes went to Purdy Wednesday on business.

Mineral Springs News: Luther Hankins of White River is visiting his brother, Collie Hankins and wife.

Mineral Springs News: Floyd Eubanks took his aunt, Mrs. Lulla Henson to Monett Wednesday to be with her mother, which is very bad sick.

Mineral Springs News: John Barnes and sons, Fred and Raymond, visited relatives for a few days, returning to Purdy, Saturday.

Seligman News: Jones, the carpenter, and Miss Daisy Smith were united in marriage one day last week. We extend congratulations and wish them a long life of happiness.

Seligman News: Carl Winters is at his father-in-laws near Garfield.

Shell Knob News: Jay James and Bill Painter are preparing to batch a while as Mrs. James and son are going to Oklahoma to visit relatives.

Butler Hollow News: A baby girl arrived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. D. McCormick, Jan 12th.

Exeter News: Grant Browning died at his home north of town one mile, Friday, a.m., aged about 40 years. [Click here to read]

Exeter News: Henry C. Jones died at his home here Wednesday, Jan 11, 1911 of a spinal trouble, age 76 years, 9 months, and 7 days. [Click here to read]

Joe Brooks of Shoal Creek was placed under arrest by Deputy Sheriff Henley and brought to the county jail Saturday upon a charge of forgery.

William Trollinger of east of town near Mineral Springs stated recently while in town that he believed he has mineral on his farm and is going to prospecting soon.

Joseph Bartkoski of Capps creek township took Mary Bartkoski who was adjudged by the county court Saturday to be insane to the asylum Saturday night.

Grant Browning, living north of Exeter died Friday following an illness of several months. He was about forty-five years old and leaves a family. [Click here to read]

Rev. Geo. Yarbrough was here Thursday to preach the funeral of Mrs. Chas. L. Talbert. 

Mrs. Elizabeth Goodnight had a stroke of paralysis Saturday morning. She was made to scarcely move or to talk during the day. She is now much better.

Thos. M. Allen and wife and Mr. and Mrs. Horace Allen went to Joplin Saturday in Horace's auto.

Mrs. J. R. Wallen has been quite sick for the past week. Jesse Perrine is also ill at the Wallen home.

Mrs. R. W. Whittington of Eagle Rock visited here last week.

John Doe, alias Edward Adams, was lodged in the custody of Sheriff Newman at the county jail Sunday. He was given a preliminary hearing before Squire D. N. Jewett of Monett Saturday upon a charge of burglary and bound over to circuit court.

Robert Hawk took out a writ of imbues? corpus her last week for the possession of his son, Ralph Hawk, who was at the home of the boy's grand-father, Wm. Reed. The case was triad Saturday before Judge C. M. Landis. Judge Landis decided that the mother, the divorced wife of Robert Hawk, was entitled to the boy.

Bob Callaway, the Monett furniture dealer and undertaker is said to be recovering from a surgical operation performed a few weeks ago. He has been in a critical condition for some time.

Washburn Prairie News: Uncle Dock James died at his home last Wednesday and was buried at the Washburn Prairie Cemetery, Thursday evening. Funeral was preached by Rev. J. T. Brattin.

Shell Knob News: Mrs. A. Harrell died Wednesday and was buried Thursday in the Painter Cemetery.

Eagle Rock News: Lewis Smith and Julia Larcey were married last week.

Eagle Rock News: Miss Martha Reed is visiting home folks this week from Springfield where she has been for sometime. [Research Note: Martha was the daughter of George Reed and his wife Sarah Elizabeth Garrett.]

Shiloh News: W.R. Thomas has a new buggy.

Lone Elm News: Elmer Boyd has almost recovered from pneumonia.

Wayne News: John Box will remain on and cultivate the Widow Pendergraft's place this year. 

Cross Hollows News: Jerome Terrill, brother of Asher Terrill, died last week at Nevada, and was buried at Sparks Cemetery.

Pleasant Ridge News: Joel Catron and wife attended the funeral of Charles Sanders. Joe's nephew, at Aurora, Wednesday. He is a son of Jas. Sanders. This was the third son they have lost in one years time. The bereaved have our sympathy.

Pleasant Ridge News: Grandma Miller, the aged mother of Allen and Jake Miller, died at the home of her son, Jake, Sunday night. She was nearing her 90th birthday. The bereaved relatives have our heartfelt sympathy.

Oak Ridge News: Mr. Allison died at the home of his son, Ed, of Black district, January 16, of heart trouble and general debility. Interment in Pilant Cemetery January 17. Funeral services in charge of Rev. J. W. Ennes. To the bereaved we offer our sympathy.

Henry Skelton of Eagle Rock was here Monday. He brought cream to Barry County Creamery Co. The people in that section of the county are taking an interest in the cream business.

S. A. Peck of Flat Creek was in Cassville Friday. He had been to Washburn where he closed a deal for the Meyers stock of goods, trading a saw mill for the goods. He will move them to Cape Fare where his son has a store.

H. A. Gardner was called to Wheaton last week on account of the illness of his grand-father who was seriously ill and not expected to live. He died Thursday.

Married at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Johnson on North Main Street at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon January 24, their daughter, Robbie Mae, to Chas. L. Palmore of Wellington, Kan. Mr. and Mrs. Palmore will make their home at Wellington where they will go after a short visit with relatives in this county. May their lives be full of happiness and usefulness.

Mrs. Elizabeth West died Friday Jan 20, at the home of her sister, Mrs. H. C. Jones at Exeter, aged 78 years. Only last week H. C. Jones died, making two deaths in the home within a few days of each other.

John Zillinox, east of town, received a message, Tuesday morning, that his mother who lived near Nevada, is dead. He left on the evening train for Nevada to attend her funeral.

Walten A. Dipley and Goldie Smith were given life sentences in the penitentiary by the jury in the Ketchel murder case at Marshfield Tuesday. The verdict was reached on the first ballot.

R. W. Whittington the Eagle Rock merchant was at the county seat Wednesday.

Seligman News: Miss Gemmecke and a young man from Kansas were married at her sister's Mrs. Bent Smith, January 22nd.

Seligman News: Jake Carney's lost a child with membrane croup.

Sunnyside News: Leonard Tate is working for Bob Forgey.

Wayne News: Mrs. Beasley attended the funeral of her brother's baby Saturday at Maplewood Cemetery.

Wayne News: The little infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Parker Doyell died Saturday morning with pneumonia fever.

New Site News: Eld. Luther Carlin has been called to take care of the Baptist church at Granby for full time and moved his family to that place last week. We are sorry to loose them from our neighborhood but hope they will like their new home and do much good there. [Research Note: Luther Carlin was a son of William Marshall and Nancy (Haddock) Carlin. He was a descendant of Charles and Sarah (Collins) Haddock, Jr.]

New Site News: Little Edith Fleetwood is quite sick with congestion of the lungs and teething. [Research Note: Georgia Edith Fleetwood was born 1909 and was the daughter of George Ernest and Margaret Sydnia (Russell) Fleetwood. She was a Haddock descendant through Zachariah Haddock.]

The little six year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Terry of Gunter locality died last week of throat trouble.

The little fourteen year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Barnett has been dangerously ill.

The little three year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Reeves of Exeter died Friday. Interment was made at the Exeter cemetery Saturday.

The little six year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will Helsel of Duenweg died Monday night at the home of Miles Robbins where the family had been visiting. The remains were shipped to Duenweg for burial.

The little babe of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Arnold is very sick.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Burton, Jan 28th, a daughter.

Mabel, the little one year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sigel Whittington of Gunter, died Saturday night, Jan 28. Interment was made Sunday at the Arnhart Cemetery.

John Doe, alias John Sterling, was fined, $25. in D. N. Jewett's court at Monett Monday charged with a disturbance of the peace of a person. He was brought to he county jail.

George (Dude) Smith of Monett was tried Monday at Monett for conducting a gambling house at Monet. He was fined $50.

Judge Skinker over ruled the motion for a new trial in the Ketcher Murder case at Marshfield, and Dipley and Goldie Smith must serve life sentences in the state prison.

F. E. Piper was brought down from Monett and lodged in Jail Thursday ___  ___ ___ for public indecency. 

Mrs. J. W. Turner passed away at her home of the family in north part of town, Thursday evening, Jan. 26, 1911, aged 48 years, 5 months and 26 days. [Click here to read]

Washburn News: Charley Williams of Roaring River got a team from the livery barn here last week and is reported to have been caught at Galena, Kan.

Washburn News: Miss Maud Woodruff visited her brother, Lafe, near Seligman last Tuesday and Wednesday.

Washburn News: Mrs. Vol Phillips and family are moving to Gravette, Ark., where her husband has a position with the Frisco as agent. 

Mineral Springs News: We understand Mr. and Mrs. James Sisney of Montana, Kansas, are the proud parents of a son, born Jan 2oth.

Mineral Springs News: The infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Jones was buried at the Mineral Cemetery Sunday afternoon. 

Union Valley News: Mrs. Emma Eden and children spent Saturday night and Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Bridgman of Exeter.

Pasley News: Chas. Vanzandt is going to move Tuesday to their  new home over in the Mt. Sinai settlement. [Van Zandt]

Eagle Rock News: A boy by the name of Chas. Williams who has been visiting friends and relatives here went to Seligman and hired a team out of the Edens barn and made his getaway with the team.

Butler Hollow News: Clyde and Cland Beaver visited their brother-in-law, G. R. Tate, Saturday, night and Sunday.

Hazel Dell: Rev. Vanzandt baptized several converts Sunday near the Talbert Spring. [Van Zandt]

Hazel Dell News: P. A. Boucher has a quilt in good preservation that was made by his grandmother in Allen County, KY, in the year 1791. The quilt will cover two beds used in this day. [Peter Boucher and wife Sarah Goodnight were married in Mercer Co., KY, May 27, 1795, but lived in Allen Co., KY. Some of their descendants removed to Barry Co., MO. John Goodnight Boucher and wife Elizabeth Hagan lived and died in Washburn, MO.]

Cross Hollows News: Sarah Mitchell of Gunter visited her sister Mrs. R. E. Land, Sunday.

Cross Hollows News: We are sorry to hear of the death of Mrs. Nella Patton, who died Thursday night, Feb 2. She leaves a husband, father, and mother, four brothers to mourn her loss. The bereaved ones have our heartfelt sympathy.

Munsey News: We are sorrow [sorry] to hear of the death of our farmer friend and neighbor, Joshua Davis. He lived in this community for a good number of years but move to Cassville a few months ago.

The case of the state vs. Ol Manley charge with petit larceny was called for trial Friday but a change of venue was taken from Squire Plattenburg's court to Squire A. J. Baker's court. 

Dr. O. H. Thiele, Dave Dingler and H. M. Allen arrived Saturday at 1 o'clock with Dr. Thiele's new auto from Kansas City. The auto is a Ford and a fine looking one. The trip was made from Kansas City to Cassville in a little more than a day and a half.

S. C. White was up Friday from the Roach district where he and his sons are operating a saw mill.

J. E. Burruss of Monett visited his sister, Miss Effie Burruss in Cassville Sunday.

A man giving his name as John Williamson was placed under arrest at Monett, Thursday for attempting to cash a check for $150., which by investigation was found to be a forgery. He was brought to the county jail Friday.

Word was received here Wednesday of the sudden death of Hem Baker of Abesville, MO. Mr. Baker is well known in this county having resided in and around Purdy for over twenty years. His two sons, Rube and Allen, who still reside here left immediately to attend the funeral. Purdy Messenger.

Clyde Northcutt has moved to the Abernathy farm north of town. He will farm the place during H. O. Abernathy's term of office as collector.

Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Abernathy went to Pierce City, Friday night. Their two children accompanied them home and entered school Monday. They had been attending school at Pierce City. [Research Note: Those two children were Ida L. and Lela J..]

Mano News: Our school closed Thursday, Wm. Latham teacher. The last day's program was interesting for pupils and patrons. The Victor school dismissed and visited our school. The patrons set a dinner and a general good time was had.

McDowell News: Mrs. Mabel Ozburn has three bills of money of the Revolution. One bill dated Aug 1, 1776 for 1/3 of a dollar, one bill dates Jan 9, 1781 for three shillings and six pence. One bill dated Sept 26, 1778 for $7. signed by E. Bond.

McDowell News: G. W. Seth who formerly lived here died at Joplin and was buried at Calton Cemetery.

Kings Prairie News: Dollie Kennedy died in Nevada Wednesday and was buried at Bethel Saturday.

Seligman News: Susie Merriman nee Holt, grand daughter of Mrs. Marilda Murray, died at Oswego recently.

Forest Grove News: We extend our sympathy to the Kennedy family in the death of their sister, Miss Dollie Kennedy. 

The little seven months old child of Mrs. F. Y. Moore died Thursday and was interred Friday in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Moore died December 7.

James Vanderpool of Roaring River township was bound over here Friday in Squire Plattenburg's court to await the action of the circuit court upon a charge of cruelty to animals.

Marion Webber, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Webber, was enlisted in the regular army, and is now stationed at Ft. Logan, Colo.

David Dingler, H. M. Allen, F. N. Reese and Benton Robbins stared Wednesday to Kansas City on an automobile trip. 

The little three year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Mitts east of town died Monday night of diphtheria. The case was under quarantine.

Butler Hollow News: Mrs. Skelton of New Salem died Saturday after a long illness, the bereaved ones have our sympathy.

Seligman News: Jessie Arnold is visiting her father, Azra Arnold.

Seligman News: Hilma Ingdahl was married in Colorado last week.

Seligman News: Fred and Ed Tate, Claude Beaver and Misses Ruth and Mayme Montgomery were visiting at Mr. Gebhart's Sunday the 12th., the guests of Delbert Gebhart and a sister, Miss Myrtle.

Union Valley News: Oscar Wilders and Miss Ollie Laney were married Feb 12. They kept their marriage a secret from their friends a week.

Pleasant Valley News: We have some cases of measles, on the Ridge, Miss Ora Black and Luther Allcoca have them.

Washburn News: Miss Maud Woodruff returned to Springfield Thursday where she will finish a course in millinery.

Shiloh News: Charley Flagherty and family have returned to their home in South Dakota.

Golden News: Will Lowe is building himself a new house.

Golden News: Mrs. Josa Parkhill of Eureka Springs died at her father's home near Golden last Wednesday evening at 2 o'clock and buried at the Viney Grave Yard Thursday. Mrs. Parkhill was 22 years old. About 6 years ago she was married to Louie Parkhill of Eureka Springs. She leaves a little 2 weeks old baby, which Mr. Parkhill's brother will take care of. May the Lord bless her companion and other relatives in their sad trouble. It is hard to give our loved ones up but it is a debt we all have to pay.  

Golden News: Todd Davis happened to a painful accident last week coming very near being serious. He was running a saw mill and his little boy came up to the saw. Todd saw he was going to get hurt and he jumped and stepped on a log and the log turned causing the saw to cut is leg very badly and his little boy also got his finger cut.

Bethel News: Miss Dollie Kennedy who was an inmate of Nevada Asylum passed away February 9th. She has been at that place several times before, but the last time was there only about 2 weeks. She was 40 years, 10 months, and 5 days old. She was a devoted Christian when in her right mind. She was loved by all who knew her. Funeral service was conducted by Rev. N. M. Whittington at Bethel church after which interment was made in Bethel Cemetery. 

Accident News: Mr. and Mrs. Wash Cooper visited from Friday till Sunday, with the latter's sister, Mrs. Rachel Hilburn at Cassville.

King's Prairie News: Mrs. Gertrude Deweese and little son, Fountain are visiting with her parents Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Dummit and family.

Rev. Ennes was called west of Butterfield Tuesday to the funeral of Mrs. Rowan.

Clarence Tabor died Saturday, Feb 18, at the home of his mother, at Hatfield, MO, aged 26 years, of tuberculosis. He was a son of Mrs. Mae Dunkerson and a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Livingston.

John Teller of Exeter, died Monday, Feb 20, age about 75 years. He was an old Union Soldier and had lived in this county for years. He had been trouble with heart disease for sometime and his death was no surprise to those those who knew of his failing heath. 

Chas. Anderson of Monett visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Anderson, not of town, Thursday.

Miss Mamie Vanzandt and brother, Albert returned this week to their home at Bowman, Tex., after an extended visit with relieves south of town. [Van Zandt]

The county fair's coming next week. Well I know. That I will be sorry if I cannot go. They have electric lights.

Walter Williamson of Mano and Elijah Metcalf of Liberty township made final five year proofs on homestead entries before Circuit Clerk Hale, Tuesday.

R. H. Elam and R. W. Whittington of Eagle Rock were here Friday on their way to McDowell to attend a meeting of the Barry county Mutual Telephone Co.

Sparks School: The following named pupils attended school every day: Adphas and Vesta Marlow, Earl and Aolpha Brown, Birtha Wireman, Maud and Norma Truhite, Lewis and Ennis Wyatt. The following missed only one day: Ulysses Webb, Lena Truhite, Gladys Roberts, Ray Catron.

Mt. Pleasant News: William Johnson's little boy who was kicked by a horse about three weeks ago died Saturday morning.

Mineral Springs News: Hiram Brandon and family attended the last day of Lon Wood's school last Friday.

Willow Branch News: Born to Mr. and Mrs. W. Jaques the 26th, a boy.

Willow Branch News:  Mrs. Sarah Adams' brother from Illinois is visiting her and she will return home with him to spend the summer.

Old Washburn News: John Williams is moving into the house vacated by Mrs. Call.

Old Washburn News: Mrs. Call and family left Saturday evening for their home in Colorado. They are going for Mrs. Call's health. Their many friends wish them success. 

Mrs. Carrie Mason of Afton, Okla., has been called here on account of the illness of her father, S. D. Thompson.

Miss Ollie Shelton of near Eagle Rock was brought to Cassville Sunday and adjudged insane by the county court Monday and ordered went to the asylum for the insane at Nevada. 

Born to Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Knotter, of near Monett, Feb. 22, a daughter.

Frank Fine of near Seligman and Miss Laura Brown of Monett were married Sunday at the home of the bride's mother in Monett. Mrs. Fine has been a teacher in the Washburn school during the past year. Mr. and Mrs. Fine will make their home near Washburn.

Sheriff M. E. Newman left Monday night for Nevada with Miss Ollie Shelton who was ordered sent to the asylum. 

John Ivey has been carrying an arm in a sling as a result of a knife wound received while assisting Wm. Bridges one day last week at the slaughter house.

Washburn News: Quite a number from town attended the sale of Jobu. Peterson at his home one mile north of town. Mr. Peterson and daughter, Mrs. Cantrell and children leave in a few days for Oklahoma, their future home. We are sorry to lose them.

Butler Hollow News: Troy Cornell, our rural carrier, has been laid up with the measles the past week. Adam Tankersley has been acting as substitute. 

Dog Hollow News: Ulysses Webb entered the state Normal at Springfield last week.

Sunnyside News: A big boy arrived at Bert Hooker's February 30th.

Sunnyside News: Grandma Ellis who is living with her daughter, Mrs. J. R. Reid is in very poor health.

Golden News: Born to Mr. and Mrs. Wry Davis, a girl. Mother and baby getting along fine but Wry is complaining very much, not on account of baby, but because of so many in his family.

David Dingle and Horace Allen went to Kansas City Saturday night after Dingle's automobile, which was left a Kansas City a few weeks ago.

Mrs. Helen Hobbs retuned Thursday from Bentonville, Ark., where she had been called on account of the illness of her aunt, Mrs. John Black.

John Ball, brother of Finis and Silas Ball of near Eagle Rock, has been very sick at his home in Oklahoma. His brothers have been there attending him. [Research Note: John Ball was married to Dora Bell Skelton. Finis Newton Ball was married to Dollie Jane Tucker. Dollie was the daughter of Francis Marion and Emma F. (Thornton) Tucker. William Silas Ball was the brother of Finis and John Benjamin Ball and he was married to Jennie Lurania Skelton. Abraham Carter Skelton was her father. William Valentine and Sarah (Garrett) Ball were the parents of these three men. After the death of William Valentine Ball, Sarah married George Reed.]

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bruton of Golden spent Thursday in Cassville as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Hale, returning home Friday.  

Flat Creek News: Andrew Mitchell and Oscar Wamply will soon leave for Ripley County, MO.   

Golden News: Married at the bride's father, at Eagle Rock, Miss Grace Kelley to Elmer Henson of Golden. The bride was a daughter of Dr. Kelley of Eagle Rock and the groom a son of Dr. Henson of Golden. We join with their many friends in wishing them a prosperous journey through life.

Gunter News: T. S. Whittington is up again after a two weeks siege of lagrippe and rheumatism.

Mrs. J. B. Hessee says her father, Uncle Mark Abernathy who is living with his daughter, Mrs. Elijah Drake, at Sour Lake, Tex., has been ill recently. His many old friends in Cassville will be anxious to hear of his recovery.

Died at his home in Pawnee, Okla., Robert Box, March 1909. He was born Dec 9, 1842, and died at the age of 66 years, 3 months, and 1 day. He came from Indiana to Barry County, when a small boy and was married to Emily C. Hadley, Nov 23, 1858. [Click here to read]
