Jenkins News: We are sorry to hear of Marion Henson being found dead in Flat Creek near John Blythe's.

Fields News: Born to Mr. and Mrs. E. Bland, a fine boy. Mother and baby are doing fine.

Oak Ridge News: John Hankins, wife and daughter, Mary, and sister, Mrs. Jane Freeze, of House District visited at W. S. Hankins, Sunday.

Washburn News: Miss Cora Earl was called Sunday to Texas to the bedside of her brother, Gant, who is dangerously ill.

Washburn News: Julia Ramsey, the little 12 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Ramsey died at the home of her parents, Friday night, Oct 4, from the effects of a burn. She was fixing the fire and her clothing caught and was burned off before she could be rescued from the flames. She was buried at the Corinth Cemetery Saturday. The family have the sympathy of the community.

Washburn News: Mr. and Mrs. John Black went to Joplin Tuesday to accompany the remains of the latter's mother, Mrs. Frazier, to the this place for burial. Her funeral was preached by Rev. P. H. Hodge at the residence after which she was laid to rest by her husband at Washburn Prairie Cemetery.

Milwaukee News: Julia, the 12 year old daughter of Dick Ramsey, was burned to death at their home near Washburn, Friday and was buried at Corinth Cemetery Saturday evening. Rev. Hodge conducted the funeral services.

Milwaukee News: Mr. and Mrs. Ed Smith visited their son, Pink, and family on Roaring River, Saturday night and Sunday.

Pioneer News: Mrs. Chris Harader went to Rocky Comfort Monday night to visit her sister, Miss Dealtha Cantrell, who is very low with typhoid fever.

Gunter News: [Abstract] There was a birthday dinner at Uncle Martin Blalock's Sunday in honor of Mrs. Blalock's 62nd birthday.

Shady Grove News: We are sorry to hear of the sad accident that happened to Grant Earle of Texas Sunday.

Shady Grove News: Mrs. Tint Reed and Miss Orpha Bayless attended the funeral of Chas. Andrews at Monett last Thursday.

Shady Grove News: Miss Tisha Hadley and Ora Burks were married Sunday. We wish them a happy journey through life.

Sheriff Newman arrested will Lewis and Dortha Lewis on a charge of Lewdness Sunday and placed them in the county jail. A haring of the case will be held today, Thursday.

Mrs. Will Ireland, south of town, left Thursday morning for a two week's visit at the home of her mother in Joplin.

Michael Horine, Mrs. Cleo Hawk, Harry Horine, E. K. Horine and Miss Bessie Horine attended the funeral of Mrs. J. H. Johnson at Monett, Thursday.

Art Moore of Monett was placed in the Cassville jail Friday for a twelve days sentence on the charge of getting on and off of [sic] a moving train.

Jenkins News: A very large gray wolf was killed near the Blankenship mill, Sunday and was brought in to Jenkins by Thomas Zinn. It measured five feet and ten inches from tip to tip and weighted 68 pounds.

Butterfield News: Jim Lowe is going to move in Grandpa Williamson's house north of town this week.

Flat Creek News: Born to Mr. and Mrs. S. Bowman, Sept 24, a fine girl.

Flat Creek News: Mrs. Night of Madry has moved down to her daughter's Mrs. D. I. Potter, where she will make her future home.

Flat Creek News: M. and Mrs. Bill Harmon of Arkansas are visiting Mrs. Harman's mother, Mrs. J. Henson and other relatives.

Flat Creek News: Capt. George King of Idaho is visiting in this locality. He says he thinks this is his last visit as he is getting old.

Washburn News: Miss Cora Earl has returned to her schoolwork from her mission to Amarillo, Texas, where she went on account of the death of her brother, Grant, whose death occurred in an automobile and street car collision.

Washburn News: B. A. Gowen and daughters, Maggie and Mary of Rock Springs passed through town Saturday enroute to Cassville to attend the funeral of their cousin, Mrs. C. C. Pharis. [Research Note: Columbia Cornelia Mason who was married to Dr. Patton Pharis was a daughter of Littleberry & Nancy (Durham) Mason.]

Washburn News: Several from this place attended the funeral of Patrick Ault, Sunday evening, at 2:30 o'clock at Washburn Prairie. He died at his home Oct 12 of paralysis.

High Point News: Mrs. John Blalock of Gunter is on the sick list this week.

High Point News: Lee Hayworth had the foundation to his house plaster Monday. E. Landsdown did the work.

Union Valley News: Lot Senseney and wife spent Sunday with Jas. Creason and family of McDonald County.

Union Valley News: Mrs. Rosa Cole spent Monday with her mother, Mrs. Brattin, of Exeter. [Research Note: Theodore Cole was married to Rosa Etta Snook. They married July 21, 1922. Theodore was a son of Fred Cole and his wife Lena Estella Antle.]

Union Valley News: Mrs. Will Sparr and children spent from Friday until Sunday with her sister, Mrs. D. G. Leonard.

Union Valley News: Bay Smith happened to a very bad accident last Thursday evening as he was returning home from Fairview with a load of hay. The wagon turned over and Mr. Smith sustain a broken rib, a sprained wrist and bruises on his face. He is getting along nicely at this writing. 

Clark News: Early sown wheat is looking fine in this part. Corn is selling at 60 cents per bushel.

Clark News: Mrs. Sass and family are going to move to California. They had a sale recently and sold their property.

Mano News: Sam Gilmore and wife visited his sister, Mrs. Spangler, at Joplin, last week. Tom Shrum and family also visited relatives there.

Mano News: Lloyd Easley has got his house complete and will move in a short time.

Muncey News: R. W. Whittington and S. P. Perse and families visited at Silver City, Sunday.

Muncey News: Jessie Malona [Maloney] has the fever and is no better at this writing. Dr. Foster of Seligman is the attending physician.

Muncey News: One of E. C. Couches little boys had the misfortune, while playing, to fall from a ledge of rock and broke [break] both bones in his right arm about half way between the elbow and the wrist joint.

Forest Grove News: Mrs. J. W. Ennes left Wednesday to visit her daughters, Mrs. Bert Reynolds of Montana, Kan., and Mrs. Jim Chapman, of Minden, Mines.

Forest Grove News: Harry McClure and wife are in Oklahoma. We understand they are hunting a location.

Arnhart News: Grandma Linn was laid to rest in the Arnhart cemetery Oct 21. Her funeral was preached by Rev. Marion Smith. The many friends and relatives have our sympathy. She was 87 years of age and had been a member of the Baptist Church for many years.

Mr. and Mrs. George Ely of West Unity, Ohio, are visiting at the home of Mrs. Ely's brother, N. L. McFarland, south of town. Mrs. F. L. Wells, a niece of Mr. McFarland and her two sons of Omaha, Neb., are also visiting at the McFarland home. Mrs. Wells is a reporter at the Daily Democrat at Omaha.

James Vanderpool, an old and honored citizen on Roaring River, died Wednesday evening of last week. His remains were buried Friday afternoon at the Munsey Cemetery.

Chinquapin Hill News: We were sorry to hear of the death of Mrs. Lon Utter. She was a good woman and will be missed. To bereaved Mr. Utter and his family, we extend our sympathy and pray God to console and help them in their hour of grief.

Lone Elm News: Born to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Johnson, the 26th, a son.

Cato News: Sid Mixen has made a contract to furnish Mr. McArtor at Cassville forty thousand feet of lumber for his business house. He bought the timber from George Hudson and has C. Hamilton to saw if for him.

Liberty News: We are sorry to hear of the death of Uncle John Bowzel who fell dead last Thursday afternoon near his home at Madry. He leaves an aged wife and several children to mourn his death.

Suburban News: Herman Moore is visiting his brother, Lem and family, of Seneca, and his sister, Mamie, of Webb City.

Eagle Rock News: Jessie Reed Maloney died at the home of her father, October 24th, after about three weeks illness of typhoid fever. Jessie was in the bloom of life, being 21 years old. She was married August 22nd to Arthur Maloney and resided near Eagle Rock. She leaves a husband, father, mother, two sisters, and two brothers and a host of friends to mourn her death. The funeral services were conducted on the 25th, by Rev. Will Ireland of Cassville in the presences of a large number of the deceased's friends and neighbors. The bereaved ones have our sympathy.

Eagle Rock News: Uncle John Vanderpool died Oct 23 and was buried the 245h in the Munsey Cemetery. He had reached the ripe old age, being showered in the eighty's.

Eagle Rock News: Chas. Easley sold some sheep at Seligman last week. Several delivered sheep at Seligman at the same time.

Eagle Rock News: W. A. Cornell is making sorghum this week.

Eagle Rock News: Sam Skelton made a business trip to Seligman Friday.

Arnhart News: Newt Smith and his uncle, Andrew Stills, who had not met for 19 years visited F. M. Smith of Flat Creek Saturday night and Sunday.

Washburn Prairie News: Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Shipley of Sale Creek, Tenn., and J. S. Varner went to Granby Tuesday to visit their uncle, Baxter Varner, and family.

Washburn Prairie News: Born to James Rains and wife, Oct 28, twins. A boy and a girl.

Washburn Prairie News: Sunday evening, Nov. 3, 1912, at the home of the officiating minister, Rev. Will Ireland, occurred the marriage of Clarence Farwell to Miss Stella Raines. They were accompanied by Miss Ola Raines and Hubert Sands. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Raines and is an accomplished young lady. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilder Farwell of Horner and is an excellent young farmer. They left Sunday evening for their home on White River. Ye scribe joins their many friends in wishing them may happy and prosperous years.

Murray Pitney of Monett was placed in the county jail Wednesday to serve a 10 day sentence upon the charge of petit larceny.

Arthur Jay of Jenkins, who was to have been tried here Thursday upon the charge of shooting a steer belonging to P. Maloney, was released on account of the prosecuting witness failing to appear.

Chas. Evans of Washburn who was arrested some days ago upon the charge of threatening the life of his mother and sister was found guilty Friday in Justice Plattenburg's court and was released upon a peace bond.

Miss Christine Gramlich came down from Springfield Friday for a visit at the home of her father, Chris Gramlich, and family, returning home Tuesday morning.

A. J. Johnson of Monett was released Thursday from the county jail after serving a 17 days sentence for vagrancy.

Fred Cole of Liberty Township was at the county seat Friday.

H. P. Sons was called to Seligman Sunday morning, on account of the illness and death of his sister, Mrs. Rachel Wasson.

J. W. Irby of Jenkins was in Cassville Sunday and Monday. He stated that he intended to move soon from Jenkins to Crane, Stone County.

The little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will Roller of near Seligman has a dangerous attack of membranous croup.

Union Valley News: Lee Noe died Nov 4, 1912, age 19 years, 3 months and 15 days. Lee was only sick 8 days, with appendicitis. He leaves a wife and one child, a father, mother, and four sister to mourn their loss.

Liberty News: Miss Nola Baldwin visited her cousins Misses Ethel and Effie Fields Saturday night and Sunday.

Mineral Springs. Wm. Holliday went to Illinois Friday to spent the winter. He was called away very suddenly by getting the news of his brother's death. This is the third death summons Mr. Holliday has received since the 8th of August.

Butterfield News: Mrs. Dr. Leiths sister is visiting her sister and father.

Washburn News: Mrs. Hendrix died Thursday Nov 7 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Thomas. The funeral was preached at the home of Rev. Wardell. She was laid to rest in the Washburn Prairie Cemetery to await the resurrection morn.

Washburn News: Walter Woodruff came down from Monett Tuesday to vote.

Washburn News: Mr. and Mrs. W.  O. Black of Cassville spent Sunday with the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Stark.

Suburban News: J. C. Lowe of Butterfield was through our community with his medicine wagon making his regular trip Friday.

Suburban News: J. C. Baker traded his farm, known as the Mark Plummer farm, for a big flouring mill, at Bolivar. The deal was made Wednesday of last week.

Suburban News: H. D. Miller and Lon Wolfenbarger have made some nice concrete improvements about their homes this week.

Suburban News: Roy Beeson was buying and hauling feed from Clover Dale stock farm Friday afternoon.

Suburban News: The saw mill will move to Mr. Miller's today (Thursday) from the Gunn Spring.

Bellview News: Luther Burkhart is taking a course in book keeping and short hand at Monett high school.

Clio News: Mrs. Knight, better known as Grandma Knight was very seriously injured by a sheep attacking her. She had her thigh bone broken and bruised otherwise considerably. Dr. Perriman was called to dress the wounds. Her recovers is doubtful on the account of her age.

Clio News: Luther Chaney's son happened to a very painful accident while cutting logs Friday by a lib striking him on the head cutting quite a gash on top of his head and bruising him in other ways.
