Sunrise News: Mrs. Ida Bean of Webb City is visiting her father, Delos Hurlbut, this week. Mrs. Bean expects to go to her husband and in Arizona in a short time.

Viola News: The Burris murder trial was held Friday morning. The examination of 42 witness began and continued until late Saturday evening when Mrs. Burris called the Justice of the Peace and Prosecuting Attorney Maples to her bedside. After a short stay with her they all retuned to the court room, closed the evidence at once after a short speech from the attorneys. In the remarks of the prosecuting attorney, he said to Mr. Burris "If it had not been for your appeal? she would have given you away long ago," which leads us to believe a confession was made or she had turned state's evidence in the case. The court at once dismissed Mrs. Burrs and sons and held Mr. Burris with bail. The statement was furnished your correspondent by Dr. Brown of Carr, MO, who was present at the time.

Arrested: C. P. Burris and wife, parents of the Burris girl who was supposed to have committed suicide near her home just across the Arkansas line, were arrested last week and taken to Berryville. It is understood that one witness, a member of the family, was ___ing    to swear that he saw the girl ___ ed [maybe pushed?] to death and then shot. There are many evidences of murder having been committed and a full inspection will follow.
