HAGUE, N.Y. and ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. -- Patricia Ann De Larm, 74, of Hague, N.Y., and Zephyrhills, Fla., died peacefully Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at Florida Hospital in Zephyrhills, Fla.
Patricia was born April 13, 1936, in Hague, N.Y., at the De Larm farm, the daughter of Derward Franklin Waite and Bessie Elizabeth (Leach) Waite. Her mother and future mother-in-law, Ethel (Fitzgerald) De Larm were close friends who grew up together in Hague.
Patricia married James Bern De Larm on Oct. 4, 1953, the son of Rollin K De Larm and Ethel Sophia (Fitzgerald) De Larm. Pat and Jim were lifelong friends in addition to their 57 years of married life.
Pat was an active member of both the Hague and Zephyrhills communities. She was an Eucharistic Minister of the Catholic Church. More recently, she was a volunteer for Gulf Regional Hospice in Zephyrhills. Pat also enjoyed the life of an entrepreneur on the rummage sale circuit. She and Jim enjoyed cruises.
Patricia is survived by her husband, James; a daughter, Martha; three sons, Bruce, Michael, and Robert; a granddaughter, Jennifer; and a grandson, John; and numerous friends from the Hague and Zephyrhills communities.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, at 11 a.m. in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5316 11th St., Zephyrhills, Fla. Another service will be held in Hague, N.Y., when the ground thaws in the spring.
Pat had requested in lieu of flowers, donations should be sent to Gulf Regional Hospice, 5760 Dean Dairy Road, Zephyrhills, FL 33541.
