Thomas Japser Freeman to Hal Prestridge:
At the time of 1880 census of Clay County, Alabama, she was
living with her parents. She was listed on the census as being crippled. Okey Prestridge said the crippling was a hand that had been burned
when she was a child and was deformed in some way. On the 1910 census, David J(oe) Moore with a wife named Ruthie J. were in the house next
to that of Franklin Prestridge. At that time they had been married 18 years and had no children. In 1920, Margaret Prestridge was living
in the house of her son-in-law, Richard J. Moore and his wife Ruthie. Joe Moore are buried next to Margaret and J. C. Prestridge in Blacks
Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery in Clay County, Alabama.
