      This is the last will & Testament of me Robt
      Hanks of Slaughter Farm in the County of Gls. Gent.
      First I direct all my just Debts Funeral & Testy
      expences to be fully paid and satisfied I give &
      bequeath unto my dear wife Emma all the Househ d
      Furniture plate Linen China & Books of which
      I shall die possessed and also the sum of £100
      of lawful English money to be pd to her within one
      month after my decease And as to all the rest
      residue and remainder of my Estate & Effects both
      real and personal whether in possession ---version?
      remainder or expectancy I give devise and bequeath
      the same and every part thereof unto my said Dear
      Wife and John Beale and Jhn North Wilkins both of
      Bourton on the Water Gentlemen To Hold the same unto
      them and the survivor of them and the heirs Exors
      & Admors of such survivor according to the nature
      tenure or quality thereof respectively Upon Trust to
      take an Inventory of my property and to carry on the
      business of Farming (if it shall be thought by them advisable ) but to sell
      and dispose in such manner as my sd Trustees
      shall think best of every thing which shall not be
      requisite for the purpose and to lay out the money
      arising there from upon government or other good
      security (But if my sd Trustees shall not carry on
      the Farm I direct them to dispose of the whole & to lay out the
      monies in like manner ) Upon Trust to pay the
      Interest Dividends & Annual proceeds of such
      monies as shall be laid out or invested and also the
      profits to arise from the Farm ( if the same shall be carried on ) unto my sd Dear Wife
      for her own use and for the maintenance and
      Education of my children independent of any future
      Husband with whom she may intermarry and
      for which her Receipt above shall be a suffict
      Discharge for her life (except such sums of money
      as are here in after directed to be paid or advanced to
      or for the Benefit of my Children ) and after the
      Decease of my said Dear Wife Upon Trust to pay
      and divide all principal monies and Interest thereon then
      due unto my children who shall be then living in equal proportions when
      they shall respectively attain the age of twenty one years
      (provided my sd dear wife
      shall have departed this life) and from the time of
      her decease until my sd childrn shares
      of the sd Trust property shall become payable I
      direct my sd Trustees to apply the Interest & Divds
      there of for their maintenance and Education And
      I hereby empower my sd Trustees to advance a
      Sum not exceeding £500 for the Benefit of my
      son or sons previous to the time of his or their shares
      becoming payable for his or their advancement in
      the world and also a sum not exceeding £500 such of
      my Daurs as shall marry on the day of her marriage?
      provided such marriage is with the Consent of
      my Wife (if living) and that such sum or sums of money
      so to be advanced to my children shall be considered as part of
      the share of the principal monies to which they
      will respectively become intitled? under the Trusts
      afsd? But in case my son Jhn or any other son
      who shall become an oldest son shall come into
      possession of the share to which my sd dear wife
      will become intitled as one of the 3 Daurs &
      coheiresses of her sd mother of the property settled on
      her sd mothers marriage I direct him within
      6? mos after he shall so come into possession
      to refund & to divide in equal proportions unto
      all my sd childn who shall be then living &
      the representatives of such as shall be dead
      so much money as he shall have received or
      which shall have been advanced for his Benefit
      or to which he wi- become intitled of my
      property under the Trusts above mentioned
