Pratt and Brooks Families of TN, AL, AR, OK

Tracing roots of the James Pratt family. Married probably Elizabeth Brooks.
Early 1800's. Have names of children--last names are Brooks and Pratt.
Unsure if there was a previous marriage, or if they were raising siblings.
Any help appreciated--just beginning search and need all tips.
