George Hartsaw, born 20 Aug 1819, settled in Randolph County, (West) Virginia at some point between 1830 and 1840. He married Sidney Wilmoth, the daughter of John Wilmoth and Ann Kittle, on 28 Jan 1841. George died of unknown causes aged just twenty-four in 1843. George and Sidney's immediate descendants settled mainly in Barbour County and Randolph County, West Virginia. This web site mainly consists of information I have collected about their descendants, which is included in report form in a link at the bottom of the page. As this report is several pages long, I have also provided a descendant chart for those wishing to look at a more printer friendly and abbreviated version.

It is also an aim of this site to progressively add general information and source material about the Stalnaker Run Road community of Randolph County, West Virginia. I have therefore provided a transcription of the 1930 U.S. census of the Stalnaker Run Road area with the hope of adding more material as time permits.
