The Harves ancestors came from Godestorf, a small township near Syke, south of Bremen,Germany.
In this region of the old "County of Hoya" (Grafschaft Hoya) the Harves name is documented in
many sources, dating back to 1585.
Over 30 years of study by me, combined with efforts of family in Germany compiled these records
for future generations.
Welcome to my world
Hi, I'm an artist, living in Morgan Co., Ind. I'm a country person at heart. I love gardening, flowers, gourds, animals, and children.
I was married in 1962 to Harold Stanley Harves, at age 16, in Indpls., Ind. We were together for 33 years, until his death in 1995. We lived in the country, and raised three children: Michelle Spring, Nathaniel Scott, and Mary Kathleen. We have two grandchildren: Kristian and Luke.
I've done genealogy for over thirty years, and wanted to write a book on two families. Now I think I should just share what I have with others. There are a lot of files, and very little has been put on my sight, so please keep checking in.

News Oct 2, 2001, from Germany, connected the two Harves lines, at long last. Many thanks to the people in Germany who went through these records, and sent them to me. Many, many thanks!
