There he died of Malaria, and Spinal Meningitis, at age 13. Eddie died 7 Dec 1900. Death certificate in that county says burial place unknown. (This has been a mystery to me. Records were kept meticulously at this school. Even today the records at the state archives will tell you the cost of hamburger they bought, sick rolls, etc. But I found NO mention of an outbreak there, let aslone any deaths.)

Pearl May Cordell, married George Wasington Moore, 13 May 1901, Brown Co., Ind. She died 1 Aug 1947, Bartholomew Co., Ind., and is buried at Walesboro Cemetery. As is her husband, and son, Raymond. Their children were: Arnold Joshua, Estelle, Nora Belle, and Raymond (who was my father). Born as Raymond Thomas, he changed his name to Raymond W. I had never heard that as a child or young adult, and have always given his name as Raymond W.
