Birth February 1861 The 1900 census information gives a date of in February 1861 for her birth in Illinois.4   She is 10 years old on the 1870 census with parents, Martin and Frederika Schoch in Geneva, Illinois.  Both of her parents were from Baden.
Marriage circa 1883 Caroline Margaret Schoch married Jacob Feldman Jr., son of Jacob Feldman Sr. and Christina Swartz, circa 1883.5,3

 Husband Jacob Feldman died on 7 April 1891.  It appears that they had been married for about  8 years.  She was left with 3 minor children.
Cen1900 7 June 1900 Caroline Margaret Schoch shows on the 1900 U.S. census on Morrison, Whiteside county, Illinois. Caroline M Feldman is a 39 year old widow, born in Illinois in Feb 1861. She has had 4 children, 3 of whom are living. Son Alonzo J is 15, born in March 1885 in Illinois. Daughter Elsie C is 14, born in May 1887 and daughter Ella May is 10, born in Jan of 1890. Christina Feldman, mother of Caroline's dead husband is a 70 year old widow, born in Germany in February of 1830. She has had 2 children, none of whom are living. A cousin, Susan Hensler is 23, born in Nov of 1876 in Illinois. She is a saleslady in a dry goods store.4

(On the 1870 census there are several families named Hensler in the same township as the Schoch family)

Daughter Elsie is 22 a stenographer in the abstract office and Ellamae is 20, no employed. The rent a house.7

Caroline is a 59 year old widow, born in Illinois, owns her house and is listed as the head of the household. Daughter Elsie appears as Elsie C. Salmonson, 32 a widow. Daughter EllaMae is married to George W. Green. They are both 29 years old. He is a general farmer.

Cen 1930 3 April 1930 Caroline Margaret Schoch was found on the 1930 US census taken on on 3 April 1930 in at Morrison, Whiteside county, Illinois. Caroline appears as Carrie Feldman on this census. She is a 70 year old widow. She owns as $6000 house and has a radio. Daughter Elsie and her second husband are living in the same household. Elsie is 42, first married when 28. Her husband is Lee S Steiner, 47, a grocery store owner. He was first married when 26. There are no children.8
